Hope and Hospitality Volunteer

The Hope and Hospitality Volunteer’s role is to facilitate communal life in our home. While at SSM you work directly with our residents serving their very basic needs. This volunteer will do the little things that bring basic comfort and hope to our residents on their journey towards healing. You will make, serve, and clean up lunch or dinner, engage in conversation and activities with residents, and help do some basic cleaning of our communal spaces.

Volunteer Driver

The Volunteer Driver is an essential part of the recovery of our residents. The role of a volunteer driver is to help drive clients to and from appointments or other locations, ensuring our residents get the support they need. Drivers will not be using their own cars but will be driving our ministry vehicles. 

Facility Care Volunteer

Laundry and cleaning are big chores in our ministry, and we would love to have some help with it. Our facility care volunteers come and use our in-house laundry machines to help wash bedding, towels and clothes. They will also help us clean rooms between residents, keep our communal spaces clean, and ensure that everyone who comes through our facility has a clean safe space to heal.
